Shifu’s comment:
A beautiful, quiet scene from a walk on a Forest Monastery mountain path. This famous poem immediately sprang to mind. In mere few words the poet integrated vast mountain, deep forest, evening sunlight, nearby moss rocks, human sounds, and hidden persons to convey a harmonious scene that is both quiet and alive. Who can appreciate this natural beauty? One whose mind is calm, observant. and in the present.

在禪林的山路上，偶見此景，王維的詩立刻浮現心頭。短短十餘字，詩人將廣闊的山，深密樹林，夕陽斜照，青苔日影，空靈人語，融入了一幅既靜謐、又有生機的自然絕景。誰能體會這俯拾即是的美？一個寧靜、覺照、當下的心。
Prajna Forest Monastery Renovation Update 般若禪林整修進展：
般若禪林太陽能板已於7/22 日正式啓動。如圖示，日中時產電量為8千瓦x2(黃、藍圖標)，而用電量(紅屋圖標)為數百瓦至數千瓦。多餘的電能送回電網，供晚上、陰天時使用。一個多月內我們已生產超過4,900 kWh 的電能(E-Total)，大部分未使用，就當禪林為環境盡的一點小心意吧！
The solar panels are activated on July 22.
From this snapshot, we can see the solar power produced during peak daylight is more than 8,000 watts x2 > 16,000 watts (yellow and blue icons), while the Monastery (red house icon) uses between 500 ~ 2000 watts. (Of course, when the monastery is in regular operation, we will use much more.) The rest is sent back to the grid, which we can use during the night and on cloudy days. So far we have generated more than 4,900 kWh of power (E-Total), mostly unused. Consider that a small contribution to our environment!

Dedication and Teamwork
Jianhu Shifu joined a few dedicated volunteers for days of hands-on work, including interior and exterior cleaning, tree trimming, and debris hauling. Transformation of the property is gradual but definte. Shifu invites more to participate!

Updates on the renovation progress at Prajna Forest Monastery: Thanks to your contributions and steadfast support from our volunteers, we are able to begin the first of several renovation projects: installation of solar panels. Groundwork for the placement of panels is currently underway.
般若禪林整修工程第一個項目：太陽能電池板，其基椿已在施工中。有您的發心供養和義工的不懈努力，我們才能陸續完成接下來的項目。
